For the purposes of the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, Mycrea Technologies LTD is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and our services.

Project enquiry form

When you submit a project enquiry through our Start a project form, we collect: your name, email address, phone number (optional), company name (optional), industry, location, project type, budget range, timeline preference and project description.

AI assistant

Our website includes an AI-powered assistant that answers questions about our services. Messages you send to the assistant are processed in real time and are not stored after your browser session ends.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to measure page views and web performance. Vercel Analytics is privacy-focused and does not use cookies. It collects anonymised data such as page URL, referrer, browser type and country. No personal identifiers are stored.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records standard server logs, including IP addresses, request timestamps and referring URLs. These logs are used for security monitoring and are retained according to Vercel’s data retention policy.

• Enquiry data — to respond to your project enquiry, prepare proposals, schedule calls and deliver our services.
• Analytics data — to understand how visitors use our website and improve its performance and content.
• Server logs — to protect our website from abuse, detect errors and maintain security.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, we process your personal data on the following grounds:

• Consent — when you voluntarily submit an enquiry form or send a message to our AI assistant.
• Legitimate interest — for website analytics, security monitoring and improving our services.
• Contractual necessity — when we process data to deliver services you have engaged us to provide.

We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate our website and deliver our services:

• Vercel (United States) — website hosting, analytics and serverless functions.
• Resend (United States) — email delivery for enquiry notifications.

These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies. Where data is transferred outside Kenya, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by the Data Protection Act 2019.

This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies. Essential cookies may be set by our hosting infrastructure for security and performance purposes.

• Enquiry data — retained for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, for the duration of our business relationship plus any period required by law.
• Analytics data — retained in anonymised form according to Vercel’s retention policy.
• Server logs — retained according to Vercel’s retention policy, typically up to 30 days.

When you engage Mycrea Technologies LTD for a project, we may process additional data as required to deliver that project. This includes content, images, credentials and business information you provide. The terms of processing are governed by the project agreement between you and Mycrea Technologies LTD.

Our ventures Kaziiko and Sifa Media each handle user data according to their own privacy notices, available on their respective platforms.

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your data where there is no lawful reason for us to continue processing it.
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) of Kenya.

Our website and services are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
